STUDIO
Tahara Studio is a spatial practice exploring the intersection of form, feeling, and function. Rooted in the quiet beauty of Torquay, Victoria, the studio draws deeply from the rhythms of the natural world—its textures, tones, and transience—to shape interiors that feel grounded, intentional, and intimately connected to place.
With experience across Tasmania, New South Wales, Adelaide, and Victoria, our work moves between residential, commercial, and hospitality spaces—each project a response to its own landscape, material palette, and story. From the tactile restraint of natural finishes to the clarity of minimalist spatial arrangements, our interiors seek calm, clarity, and resonance.
At the core of Tahara Studio is a commitment to collaboration.
We work closely with clients, makers, and builders—crafting spaces that are not only beautiful, but enduring. Every detail is purposeful. Every material is chosen for its ability to speak softly and last long.
Founded by Ebony Hurd, a designer trained at RMIT, the studio is shaped by a sensitivity to both history and possibility. Ebony’s approach weaves together old and new, form and feeling, to create spaces that are refined, soulful, and quietly sophisticated—places to inhabit, to feel, to remember.
